WHO OPERATES THE BETHEL HEALTH CENTER?

It is staffed by a nurse practitioner, medical office assistant, mental health therapists, secretary and director. Oversight is provided by Medical Director Paul Benda, MD and a Health Center Advisory Board made up of representatives of the Bethel community, the local medical profession, the Bethel School Board, school nurses, educators, and students.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE CARE?

The Bethel Health Center provides services to current Bethel School District students, children living within Bethel School District boundaries, children of Bethel students, Bethel Head Start students and Bethel School District staff and their dependents.

HOW IS THE BETHEL HEALTH CENTER FUNDED?

The Bethel Health Center relies on revenue from private foundation grants, federal and state funds, Medicaid reimbursement, third-party insurance, and support from the Bethel School District. Donations from patients and other supporters are welcomed and very appreciated.

School-based health centers of Eugene and Springfield are working together to increase awareness and access to health services focused on the needs of students. Bethel, Eugene and Springfield School Districts each have health centers conveniently located on high school campuses that make healthcare easy for youth – both insured and uninsured. Illness and injury visits, wellness and sports physicals, immunizations and behavioral health services are all available at each location.
